Well the fall colors should be showing up in the drive along the Salmon River and with cooler weather the fish should start biting, our guest went up to Williams Lake and brought these back these beauties for their breakfast. One of them was 17 inches and they wouldn't fit in the frying pan very well. The guests were from the south so they also had grits with breakfast.
We decided to take a little drive on the opposite side of the river and found wolf tracks and a beautiful view of the Salmon River Canyon on the mountain side of the river. Awesome view!
Looking at the draw behind Indianola. Also the wolf track in the road.

We it is the time of year when the deer are having fawns and if you are lucky you will get to see one. Also one of our friends has a baby goat that she calls Sparkie. Our grandson was able to baby sit for the afternoon, the little goat was so cute we had to have some pictures. Caden had a wonderful afternoon with the baby goat and since he has had his cast removed and is learning to get around again with out the cast. He has been rafting on the river with his dad and a group of guests. Had a great time and told his dad he had to go on all trips on the river.
Is the heat getting you down come to the Greyhouse Inn Bed and Breakfast, it cools off nicely at night you will be reaching for the blanket. Sunset taken from the back yard.

Well it was hot yesterday but in the afternoon the clouds rolled in and we had a bit of a thunder storm, it was so refreshing and it cooled everything off. The temp went from 80's to 56 degrees when we woke up this morning. Here are a couple of pictures just before the storm hit.
Well it is summer at the Greyhouse Inn Bed and Breakfast, the grass is green the trees are all leafed out and fruit trees are loaded with fruit. The girls (chickens) are laying those fresh eggs that we serve for breakfast and getting out in the yard and sunning themselves. It is quite entertaining to watch them, they think they own the place.
This lady was laying in the yard with David and I working around her she didn't seem to mind the coming and going we were doing. Pretty isn't she.
Johnny Jump-ups blooming around the deck.
We another beautiful day here in Salmon, Idaho. The Flowers here at the Greyhouse are beautiful as usual. We cleaned our 2 miles of highway on Fathers Day morning before the sun was to hot and cleaning the highway couldn't have been more pleasant. The river was beautiful as always, sometimes I find myself wandering amlessly instead of picking up trash.
Also a update on the baby chickens they are almost to big to hide under the mom.
Be sure to be in Salmon, Idaho on Saturday, July 27. Dance at the WTRRA 2013 Cowboy Ball until your feet get tired. Performances by the Johnny U and the Moon Pie Band plus silent and live auctions. Check in at the Greyhouse Inn Bed and Breakfast and we'll show you how to get to the ball.
Night before last we had a thunder and lightening storm like no other. The colors of the mountains and the sky were a little spooky. Me not being a fan of lightening. These are pictures taken by the Bastida Family.
Notice the Lightening!
